Barun Sobti opens up about his exit from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon : Bollywood News

Barun Sobti’s character, Arnav Singh Raizada, from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon is still one of the most favourite ones for the audience. The show has completed nine years and in an interview with another portal, Barun Sobti opened up about how he did not expect things to take a wild turn after his exit from the show. The actor had only signed the contract for a year. He had two shows to choose from, one was this and the other one was a finite series. He reluctantly accepted Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

After the show completed a year, he spoke to the producers who told him to continue since the show had become a hit and since everyone was making money, he stayed for another six months. After completing the next six months, the conversation took place again and he ended up extending the contract for three more months. After that, he was sure he wanted to spend time with his family since the actor had tied the knot before the show started and had not even been on his honeymoon. So, after renewing his contract twice, he decided to quit the show and the producer Gul was okay with it since they had found a replacement.

He was not aware that his exit will take such a wild turn. But he was clear on the part that he wanted to spend more time with his family and understands that the fans were upset because they had invested a number of hours in the show and were right to be angry if it did not have a decent ending.
